Executive Officers

OFFICERS – The Executive Officers make up the team which works on the day-to-day planning and programming for NAAAP-NY. Look out for us at the events to learn about how you can get involved!

 

Lori Chen – President

Lori Chen has been in financial services industry for over 13 years. She recently relocated to NY and serves as Vice President, Private Client Advisor at JPMorgan. She started her career as Financial Advisor with UBS Financial Services Inc. She spent 7 years as Financial Planner and Managing Associate with Creative Financial Group, a boutique firm focuses on estate planning and business succession planning. Her bank channel experience includes Branch Financial Advisor at PNC Bank, and Premier Relationship Advisor at HSBC Bank. She holds Series 7 & 66, and completed Certified Financial Planner curriculum. She is fluent in Mandarin, and conversant with 3 Chinese dialects.

 

Minning Yu

Minning Yu – Vice President of Events & Programming

Minning Yu is a litigation associate at Goldberg Segalla LLP and represents corporate clients in state and federal civil matters, in both New York and New Jersey, including product liability, negligence, employment, and real estate-related cases.

Minning was born in Singapore and moved to the US in 1998. She’s lived in Wisconsin and California, before moving to New York for law school. She graduated with a BA in Economics, International Area Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles, and received her JD from the Fordham University School of Law. She speaks Mandarin fluently.

Gem Qin – Co-Vice President of Membership

Gem Qin is a management consultant in EY’s Performance Improvement (PI) sub-service line based in New York City. She has extended experience across competencies serving multinational clients in Consumer Products and Retail, Diversified Industrial Products, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Media and Entertainment, Oil and Gas, Power and Utilities, Professional Services, and Higher Education sectors. During her time at EY, Gem has been selected for numerous strategic initiatives in the Advisory practice, such as being featured on EY’s Advisory homepage for her contribution to cross-practice engagements, and contribution to EY’s people and culture matters as an active member of the People Advisory Forum, reporting directly to Advisory regional leadership.

Gem graduated Summa cum Laude with a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Binghamton University, and a M.S. with honors in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the State of New York.

Gem started her own dance crew in college and has never creased the study of a wide range of dance styles, from Latin to Street Jazz to House. In addition to dancing, she is passionate about traveling, art across mediums, and public speaking.

Brian Tsang – Co-Vice President of Membership

Brian Tsang is a Senior Consultant in the Performance Improvement Advisory Services practice at EY. Over the last 5 years at EY, Brian’s project experiences primarily revolved around finance transformation, process improvement, and purpose-led transformation.

He was selected as one of the founding members of the EY Beacon Institute – one of EY’s leading platforms to engage with the C-suite and boards of EY’s largest clients. Over the course of his rotation, his role was primarily in corporate strategy and operations, but he also drove results across several functional areas including business development, knowledge, branding, marketing & communications, and finance.

He holds a BBA from the Goizueta Business School of Emory University, and has lived in New York since graduating in 2012. He is an avid world traveler, an insatiable eater, and an eager concert goer.

David Kang – Vice President of Communication

Managing Director of NDN Group, UW-Madison and Stanford alumni.

Entrepreneur since teen and adventurer since birth. Strong believer in both giving back to the society and in radical transparency & truth with admiration for Deliberately Developmental Organizations (DDO).
