06/27/13: Summer Rendezvous – An Evening at Sea with KACF


Please join us for an evening at sea aboard the Hornblower Hybrid, to learn about the work of KACF and meet young, philanthropic-minded Korean American professionals. Special entertainment guests include DJ m-sparks , a cool female Korean American DJ, and Ryan Oakes, one of the East Coast’s most sought-after magicians who will be giving exciting close-up performances throughout the night.

Formed in 2005, the Steering Committee is comprised of young working professionals in New York City with a deep passion for their community.  Its mission is to promote philanthropy and volunteerism among young Korean Americans to create positive social change.

NAAAP International Convention: Career Fair & Diversity Expo

The National Association of Asian American Professionals proudly invites you to participate in our marquee event, the Annual International Leadership Convention, Career Fair & Diversity Expo this August and see how far we as a community have come. Leadership comes in all sizes, at all ranks, and at all times. NAAAP is seeking convention speakers and panelists who can speak to their experiences of relentless ambition. We are partnering with sponsors who have successfully demonstrated long-term, sustained leadership. And we welcome NAAAP members and non-members who want an intense and intensely fun experience of new ideas, new tools, new friendships, and renewed insights.

05/16/2013: APIA Heritage Month Cherry Blossom Cocktail Party


NAAAP-NY threw its biggest bash of the year for APIA Heritage month with networking and drinks at the CHERRY BLOSSOM COCKTAIL PARTY at EVR Lounge, co-hosted by the Alumni Associations of Stanford, MIT, Princeton, Brown & UPenn, and NYAPM. Food and drinks were served in the private upstairs lounge as we honored the APIA heritage with special showcases of Asian American DJs, including DJ WUSABI and themed photobooth by BUTH Photos. We are also partnered with BUZZTHEBAR to bring $10 drink specials, including our signature NAAAPltini, as well as the Constant Buzz created by former Apotheke mixologist.

Guests used the Buzz the Bar app to purchase drinks without waiting at the bar, to become a registered NAAAP-NY member, or to play the networking matching game and won $500 of FREE DRINKS sponsored by AJIA Holdings! See more photos

03/02/13: National Leadership Conference

NAAAP leaders all across the US and Canada met in Washington DC this weekend to learn about upcoming national plans, share best practices, and discuss goals for the year.  NAAAP NY sent eight representatives.

02/23/13: ECAASU National Conference

IMG_1997-13NAAAP NY sponsored the East Coast Asian American Student Union’s (ECAASU) annual conference during the weekend of February 22nd – 24th, 2013.  ECAASU is a nonprofit intercollegiate Asian-Pacific American advocacy organization.  This year’s conference was held at Columbia University and more than one thousand college students from across the country attended the weekend-long conference.  Executive officers from NAAAP NY and AList magazine attended the Opportunities Fair and met college students to promote NAAAP and to recruit volunteers for AList magazine.

02/21/13: Lunar New Year Celebration With JPMorgan Chase


This year’s Lunar New Year celebration was co-hosted by the New York chapter of NAAAP and JPMorgan Chase’s employee resource group, AsPIRE (Asian and Pacific Islanders Reaching for Excellence) at Grand Harmony restaurant in Chinatown on February 21st, 2013.  Almost three hundred participants attended the eight-course dinner banquet.  Festivities of the evening included guest speaker Claire Huang, the chief marketing officer of JPMorgan Chase, a lion dance performance, and many great raffles.  We would like to thank the planning committee and all participants for making this year’s dinner a great success!  May this year be full of happiness, good health, and prosperity!
